I put in a new Optima battery and all connections were good. My headlight and dash lights constantly flickered. I drive it infrequently but I am out of my 3yr warranty. When your cluster fails or you have a power problem nothing brings the dash lights back on until the repairs are completed.
I thought it might be the dimmer switch, which is separate on my truck not in the headlight switch. It says 20 but I could be doing 80 for all I know. The air conditioning unit was activated when the smoke started pouring through the vents. I tried to change it to auto and the indicator light would not come on. The current and failure mileages were 27,051. The speedometer would not function after driving 45 minutes when on cruise control.
Instrument Cluster and Power Problems I just finished an article about. The Sierra is so solid, it feels as if it was carved out of one big block of steel. It's just the clamp on type.
