With the plate off you will see a plastic cover over the radiator and shroud. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Have you received the correct parts yet? The contact stated that the vehicle had a defective valve seal, which caused engine damage. The vehicle was not repaired. December 28, 2014 Followup from the Pelican Staff: Thanks for the additional info and feedback. I'm thinking about machining a hole in the bracket so that that timing chain bolt can be removed without having to lift the engine. I got a 06 750i and having just 2 problems. I didn't see any damage to the oil seal other than is was flattened and brittle - hope this was the cause of my leakage. Use a flat head screw driver and loosen the clamp connecting the air duct to the intake duct. They called me after 4 hours and said my car was ready to pick up.
